The Trellis Virginia Wedding and Event Venue is near the entrance to Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Trellis is a fully renovated historic motor lodge in Front Royal, VA just off of John Marshall Hwy. From mountain biking to canoeing to camping, there are so many fun things to do for a weekend wedding celebration. With DC and Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) just under an hour from Front Royal, guests can get here easily if commuting in from DC or flying in from out of state. The Trellis offers parking for 25 vehicles as well as overflow parking just across the street.
Transforming the Space
With the 1.5 acre property and hosting space for up to 100 guests, you can transform the back patio or large kitchen for your unique desires. The main house is a wonderful space for hosting a rehearsal dinner or be the jumping off point for bridal party adventures. The Trellis works closely with local vendors such as Elder Fox LLC and can provide rentals to suite your needs. There is also ample space on the grounds for a 100-person large white tent to provide shade for dinner and to avoid too much sun or inclement weather.

While the venue itself would absolutely crush for candid photos with guests interactions, like cocktail hour and your reception, there are very few areas that feel private enough for a first look or portraits that are free of distractions in the background. So, if that clean look is important to you, then I would consider going somewhere off-site for your bridal party and couples portraits.
