- No one can beat me in Mario Kart (as long as its on N64 and I get to be Yoshi)
- I played a wide range of sports growing up and still love to be active
- I love a good movie plot with a twist or turn that I didn't see coming
- Words I live by: Be here now. I practice mindfulness so I can make the most of each moment
I consider myself a midwest girl at heart. I was born and raised in Iowa, but since have lived in other places including South Dakota, Minnesota, and Colorado. Now, I'm an East Coast girly living with my husband and our dog in Northern Virginia.
We are enjoying life on the East Coast, having our coffee on the porch and making new memories while exploring the Shenandoah Valley in our free time.

A snapshot into my life
Chatting with friends and family around a dinner table or backyard fire is one my favorite pastimes and a sure way to make me feel at home. There is a unique comfort in sharing stories, laughing, and just being present and in the moment with the people you love. Even sweeter is when the only question left to answer is, would you like dessert?

Whether it's date night with my husband or going out with friends, you can safely bet that tacos are in the plan. I am one of those unlucky souls who has the cilantro taste like soap gene. That is such a bummer too because I consider myself a foodie and willing to try (most) anything.

One of the reasons I love being a wedding photographer is that I get to travel to new places. I'm sure to plan a route that includes an almond-milk latte and a visit to a local bookstore or antique shop. I get inspired by the curated shelves, local pottery, and textures that are unique to the city. Seeing the art and local goods refills my cup of inspiration and refuels my desire to create.

Working with Alex was a wonderful experience. I was lucky to find her online and she captured our proposal and engagement photos. She is extremely helpful and communicates great. I had been seeing fun bridal shoots on my Tik Tok and had been wanting to throw my wedding dress on again to do one! I’m going to attach a couple photos and let them do all the talking, but the shoot I had with Alex was a once in a lifetime shoot. Not only did she make me feel EXTREMELY comfortable shooting on my own, but she was the type of fun that made me think we could be best friends and to this day, I still go back and look at them once a week.
