Hello! Welcome to my blog for all things weddings. If you’re in search of a Baltimore Engagement Photographer – you’ve come to the right place! Baltimore has easily made it’s way toward the top of my list as a place for couples to consider for their engagement photos or wedding venue location. It is accessible from my main service area of Northern Virginia and Washington DC. Here, I’m going to share a few of my favorite indoor and outdoor Baltimore-based locations to consider for your engagement photos. If you like what you see, head on over to my inquiry form and say hi! I’d love to be considered for your proposal, engagement, and your wedding day photographer!

Q: Do you really enjoy driving in to Baltimore from Northern Virginia just for an engagement session?

A: Absolutely! When you plan your engagement session with me, I am setting aside not just the hour to photograph your session, but I also set aside the entire day to plan for travel time and exploring while I’m there. I don’t think of the commute to Baltimore as a chore, but instead as an opportunity to travel to a location that is novel and worth exploring! For this reason, I’d love the opportunity to come to you at your city of choice! I also have no problem with arriving early to location scout and make a game plan before your session starts.

Fell’s Point – a Waterfront and Charming Location for Your Engagement Photos

Fell’s Point is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore for a photoshoot. The cobblestone streets and historic buildings give it a really charming, old-school vibe. Plus, the waterfront views are gorgeous. I love how you get this cool mix of history and modern life with all the trendy shops and cozy pubs around. It’s such a laid-back, picturesque place that adds a lot of character to any shoot, making it perfect for capturing those special moments. Visit this website to learn more about the neighborhood.

A classic Baltimore experience for your engagement photos

There is no place more iconic that the Washington Monument, which also happens to be adjacent to the world famous Peabody Library. On this particular day, we did not go inside the library, but we did take advantage of the city block with iconic views and historic buildings. Because we wanted a quieter experience with less people and cars around, we opted for a sunrise session. Sunrise offers beautiful soft light and it is my favorite time of day for an engagement session.

What to wear

There is something to be said about dressing up for special occasions. I’m all about being comfortable, but I do recommend wearing an elevated outfit that still feels like you. Dress appropriately for the season and weather conditions. In warmer months, light, breathable fabrics are ideal, while in cooler weather, layering can add depth and warmth to your outfits. Incorporate different textures and layers to add visual interest. For example, a cozy sweater or a tailored jacket can add depth to your look. If you’re unsure about which look to choose, consider bringing a change of clothes. This way, you can have a variety of looks and settings.
